Biography

Edward Kocząb was a Polish ice hockey goaltender who played in 132 league matches during his career. Kocząb began his career with KTH Krynica in 1946 where he won his first league title in 1950. From 1952 to 1964 he played for Legia Warszawa, winning a further 10 titles (1952–57, 1959, 1961, 1963–64), and finishing runner-up three times (1958, 1960, 1962). With Poland he played in 36 international matches including three games at the 1956 Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics. Kocząb retired in 1964 and later worked as a coach at Legia.
