Biography

Ole Kolterud’s best season was definitively 1927, when he won the Norwegian Championships and at Holmenkollen won the Nordic combined. He was an excellent ski jumper, and was leading the jumping event in the Nordic combined at St. Moritz in 1928. In the second round he had the longest jump of the competition, but he fell and was out of contention for the medals. Kolterud also competed in football, track & field and orienteering, and worked as a manager of a ski factory after his active career. His brother Sverre Kolterud competed in Nordic combined at the 1932 Olympic Winter Games.
