Peter Krick

Figure skater Peter Krick competed in the World Championships on three occasions. He finished ninth in 1965, and bettered it to eighth in both 1967 and 1968. At the Europeans, he first competed at the age of 17 in 1961 and finished 11th. He competed on four more occasions between 1965-68, with his best finish being sixth in 1968. Krick was placed 12th at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Games and, domestically, was the West Germany champion three times, 1966-68.

After he retired from competitive skating, Krick became an organizer of figure skating events. He was Secretary General of the Organizing Committee Figure Skating Munich from 1974-2001, and from 2008 was Chair Sports Directorate of the International Skating Union. Until 1999 he was Sport Director of the German Skating Union (DEU). His wife Sissy was an ISU judge and, until 2006, a DEU vice-president. The couple is living in Tutzing.
