Biography

During the 1960s Czechoslovak skier Josef Kutheil competed in the Nordic combined, becoming a national champion in the discipline. In 1962 Kutheil finished 20th at the World Championships in Zakopane before placing 21st at the 1964 Innsbruck Olympics. Following his competitive career he worked with the national team, coaching both Josef Pospíšil and František Zeman at the 1976 Olympics, also in Innsbruck. Kutheil later coached youth athletes, in addition to working in the private sector in the sale of building materials.
