Albert Künzler was a goaltender who played hockey for Switzerland at the 1936 Winter Olympics. He also appeared internationally at the World Championships in 1930, 1935, and 1937-39; the Spengler Cup in 1930 and 1937; and the 1929 European Championships. Several of those World tournaments doubled as the European Championships, as Künzler won four medals at both events with one silver and three bronzes at the Worlds, and two golds and two silvers at the Europeans. Künzler moved around a bit during his club career, which lasted from 1927-41, playing with Davos HC, Arosa EHC, Zürcher SC, and Zürcher City. He worked as a salesman in Sankt Margrethen.
