Biography

Kène Ndoye was primarily a Senegalese triple jumper who also competed in the long jump. She won the 1996 African Championship in the triple jump, also finishing third in the long jump. She later won a bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in the triple jump at Birmingham, England. Ndoye’s last competition was the 2011 Maputo African Games, where she placed second in the two horizontal jumps. In July 2004 Ndoye set Senegal records in the triple jump and long jump. She died quite young, at age 44, after a long illness.
