Lucien Lesna was best known as a road racer, although he won the European title in the motor-paced event in 1896 and 1898 and the French title in that event in 1895. But on the roads, he is best known for winning Paris-Roubaix in 1901-02, Bordeaux-Paris in 1894 and 1901, and placing second in 1902, and winning Marseille-Paris in 1902. He was also Swiss road race champion in 1890 and runner-up in that race in 1891. He died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
