Frank Lange was a former track and field athlete. He placed fifth with the West German four-man bob team at the 1968 Grenoble Winter Olympics. He was also a four-time West German two-man champion with Horst Floth, and reached two fourth places at European and World Championships. He was the only Winter Olympian from Wuppertal.
Lange was an entrepreneur in the field of sports, and for many years he ran the sports sauna with an attached indoor tennis centre and fitness studio in Wuppertal. He died in 2023 at the age of 88 years.
