Antti Leppänen was a goaltender who played for Tappara Tampere from 1966-78. He competed for Finland at the 1976 Winter Olympics, the 1977 Canada Cup, and at the A World Championships from 1973-75. Leppänen was named the top goaltender in the SM-liiga in 1972/73, 1973/74, and 1974/75. He was an all-star all three years and was Finnish Player-of-the-Year in 1972/73. In 1990 Leppänen was inducted into the Finnish Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
