In April 1923, Kazimierz Lubomirski replaced his distant relative, Stefan Lubomirski, as chairman of the Polish Olympic Committee and as an IOC Member. Kazimierz, Prince Lubomirski studied law at the Jagellonian University and in Paris at the School of Politicial Science. He was a member of Galicia Parliament from 1901-13, then served as a representative of the right-wing National Party and from 1919-23 was the envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary for Poland in Washington, DC, USA. When he returned to Poland he led several organizations, including the Landowner’s Associations, the Polish- American Society, and the Polish-Swedish Society. Kazimierz Lubomirski remained an IOC Member until his death in December 1930.
