After playing with the Northcote Football Club’s at the junior level, Australian rules footballer Keith Woolnough was promoted to the club’s first tier in 1947 and played with them for over a decade. During that time, he was selected to represent the VFL/VFA side that lost its match against the VAFA team in a demonstration event at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics. Two years later, he was awarded the J. J. Liston Trophy as the best senior player in the Victorian Football Association. By career he was in business, and he was a member of the Rotary Club for six decades.
