Normally playing at 2nd home, J. H. Little was a member of the 1948 Great Britain gold medal winning lacrosse team. He played for the Manchester team, Chorlton-cum-Hardy, and won representative honours with Lancashire in the Northern Counties Championship. Little also played for The North in the annual match against The South, both before and after World War II, and in 1938 scored six goals in The North’s 14-6 win at Kennington Oval.
