Kazuaki Goto was an infielder, primarily a third baseman, on the Japanese Students Team at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics demonstration baseball tournament, while he was a student at Komazawa University. In Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) he played for the Hanshin Tigers from 1969-75, and then the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in 1976. His career batting average in NPB was .231 over 596 games.
