Simone Schilder was a Dutch professional tennis player who achieved a career-best singles ranking of #164 in the world in July 1988, and a doubles ranking of #71 in the world in August 1989. In 1984 Schilder and Digna Ketelaar won the girls’ doubles title at the French Open. Later that year Schilder competed in the singles at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics when tennis was a demonstration sport. She lost in the first round in straight sets to Andrea Leand of the United States.
In 1986 Schilder won two ITF singles titles with victory in Amersfoort and in Croydon, England. From June 1986 to March 1992 she also won eight ITF doubles titles. On the WTA Tour Schilder got to two doubles finals, both times with partner Carin Bakkum, but finished as the runner-up each time.
