Biography

The Finnish variant of baseball, pesäpallo, was played as a demonstration sport at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. A one-off match was contested between two Finnish team representing the Finnish Baseball League and the Workers’ Athletic Federation, with the Finnish Baseball league team winning 8-4. Pauli Lahtinen was one of the 12 players to represent the team of the Workers’ Athletic Federation in the match.
