Austrian canoer Viktor Kalisch participated in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, partnering Karl Steinhuber in the kayak doubles over 10,000 metres. The pair won the silver medal, clearly beaten by German canoers Paul Wevers and Ludwig Landen. At European Championships, both won one silver (1933) and two bronze medals (1934, 1936).
