Romanian-born Handball player Sorina Teodorovic represented Austria and finished fifth at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. She became a naturalised Austrian in 1995 and after 200 Romanian international caps won a further 150 with Austria. Teodorovic won a bronze medal at both the 1996 European Championships and the 1999 Worlds.
At club level, Teodorovic played with Rapid București (1988-93), then in Austria with Hypo Niederösterreich (1993-96), helping them win the EHF Champions League in 1994 and 1995. She then moved to Norway playing with Bækkelagets Sportsklub (1996-2002), followed by Club Balonmano Amadeo Tortajada in Spain, Sønderjyske Fodbold in Denmark, and Fjellhammer IL and Toten HK, again in Norway.
