In 1952, Austrian bobsledder Kurt Loserth participated at the Oslo Winter Olympics in the four-men bob but they retired after the third run. Four years later at Cortina d’Ampezzo the four-men crew finished seventh. Loserth was an advisor at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics, and director of bobsleigh events in 1976.
