Bertil Lundell was a defenseman who competed for Sweden at the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics. He also participated at the 1934 and 1937 World Championships and helped lead Sweden to gold at the 1932 European Championships. In a career lasting from 1928-42, Lundell started with Mode IK, but skated mostly with Hammarby IF, helping them win five league titles.
