A defenseman, Einar Lundell played ice hockey at the 1920 Antwerpen Olympics. He also helped Sweden win four consecutive medals at the European Championships, with golds in 1921 and 1923, and silvers in 1922 and 1924. His career lasted from 1919-34 and was spent mostly with Göta IK although his final season was in the colors of Djurgårdens IF. Lundell’s profession was as a shoemaker and saddlemaker. He was inducted into the Swedish Hockey Hall of Fame.
