Biography

Dr. Peshoton Sorabjee Goolbai Dubash was a homeopathic physician, businessman and polymath. He reflected his interest in scientific subjects, religion (particularly Zoroastrianism), poetry, and international relations. In his philosophical essays and poetry, he claimed to contemplate the religious and political impartially. His almost utilitarian philosophy is reflected in his 1917 poem Britannia and Mother Hind, criticizing the British as well as the Indians. A graduate in electro-metallurgy, his works also include books about geometry, color psychology and urban planning. He also held several patents for everyday life devices. In the 1930s he was in contact with British Fascists. Later he is mentioned as president of the Free University of Asia in Karachi, Pakistan. His poem Football Match may have been published in his 1917 anthology of poetry Rationalistic and other Poems.
