German cubistic painter Hans Spiegel was a professor at the Art Academy in Stuttgart. He studied in München and Stuttgart at the Academies of Art, and later belonged to the Stuttgart Secession. He created figurative compositions in which round organic shapes (eg. human bodies) were often combined with geometric shapes. The early work of Hans Spiegel was almost completely destroyed by bombing raids in World War II.
