Italian painter Mario Beltrami studied at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera under Cesare Tallone and Ambrogio Alciati. He was a skilled portrait painter and devoted primarily to landscape painting. Beltrami’s painting style was characterized by a lyrical realism, an increased expression and materiality of color. He held exhibitions at Amsterdam, Braunschweig (GER), Pavia and Milano (ITA). He was also represented from 1935-51 at the Roma Quadriennale and from 1936-50 at the Venezio Biennale. In 1932, Beltrami submitted two woodcuts, Race walker and Football.
