Franco Manfroi was an Italian cross-country skier and Nordic ski coach. He became known at the 1958 Italian Junior Nordic Ski Championships, winning the relay and finishing fifth over 15 km, and was named to the national team in 1959.
Manfroi competed twice at the Olympic Winter Games, 1964 Innsbruck and 1968 Grenoble, and at three World Championships, winning a relay bronze medal at Oslo in 1966 together with Giulio De Florian, Gianfranco Stella and Franco Nones. Manfroi was twice Italian Champion, both times in the relay.
Manfroi died in October 2005, at age 66, in the civil hospital of Belluno, due to leukemia. In March 2009, the winter cross-country ski track in Val di Gares and a cross-country ski race, the Franco Manfroi Trophy, were dedicated to him.
