Mans Meijer was a sculptor, painter and poster artist in a figurative style, who studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Den Haag. Meijer later taught advertising at the Den Haag Academy and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. In the 1950s he also made a series of ceramic fac bricks. He moved to Belgium with his family around 1970. His father Hendrikus “Henk” (1884-1970) was also an illustrator, lithograph and painter. Mans Meijer competed in 1948 in the Applied Arts section with a Poster for Swimming.
