Later he worked mainly in Haarlem in his own company but was also engaged in the reconstruction of Rotterdam after World War II.
Zwiers’ Zuiderbad was a beach resort with restaurant in Zandvoort, which opened in 1933. It existed for only about 10 years and was demolished in 1943 in the course of the fortification of the Atlantic Wall during World War II.
