Czesław Marchewczyk was Polish Champion in 1937, 1946 and 1947 with KS Cracovia. 1929-1948 he played 66 international matches for Poland scoring 20 goals. He also took part in five World Ice Hockey Championships (1930, 1935, 1937 - 1939). In 1930 and 1933 he also became Polish champion in handball earning one cap in this sport in 1935. Marchewczyk graduated as a civil engineer in 1949 in Cracow and was later involved in the construction of artificial skating rinks. 1957 - 1967 he belonged to the board of the Polish Ice Hockey Association. He received numerous awards for his merits.
