Cross-country skier Alexander Marent represented Austria at the 1992 Albertville and 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. His best result was an unfortunate fourth place with the relay in 2002. At the Austrian nationals, Marent entered the podium twice as runner-up and 14 times as third.
