At the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm, Josef Lindbom was entered for the 800 m and the 1,500 m runs but did not start. He came from a family of civil engineers. Josef stepped into his father’s footprints as did some of his sons. In 1913, he married Helena Karolina “Lina” Wallin, who died in 1937. They had five sons. Shortly before his death in 1950, he married his nurse, Karin Elisabet Berglund.
