Biography

Christian Brac had a relatively short career in track athletics due in part, by his own admission, to his own unwillingness to train routinely. Nonetheless, he was selected to represent France in the 4x100 metres relay at the 1948 London Olympics, but an injury prevented him from competing. He was more interested in pursuing a career in municipal politics, and thus he worked as a city councilor for many years prior to being elected mayor of Montussan, a small commune, in 1983. He was re-elected twice more, in 1989 and 1995, running unopposed in the latter contest. By career, he was an accountant.
