Although Jean-Louis Brugier was listed as entered in the marathon in the Official Entry list. Although often coaches were “entered” in events as a way to get more personnel at the Olympics for France, it is more likely that this entry was a mistake in the Official Entry list and the Brugier was actually a non-starter in the 4x100 metre relay. He won a silver medal in that event at the 1963 Mediterranean Games.
