German rower Claudia Barth partnered Lenka Wech in the coxless pairs at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, where they finished sixth. In 1996, she won a bronze medal with the coxless fours at the World Championships, and that same year, and again in 2000, also won the German national coxless fours title. Barth added another title with Wech in the 2000 coxless pairs and enjoyed several podiums in other classes. Barth’s brother Johannes was a substitute at the Sydney Games but did not start.
