Hannes Kalteis was an Austrian long-distance swimming. He participated in the 400 - and 1,500 metres freestyle at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. but failed to reach the second round in both events. Also in 2000, Kalteis won the Junior European Championships over 1,500 metres freestyle. Kalteis later became head of sales with an Austrian company dealing with sensor technologies.
