Chinese-born German table tennis player Jing Tian-Zörner was eliminated in the first round after the group stage at the 2000 Sydney Olympics in the singles tournament. She also played for her home country China until 1990, and then moved to Germany. In 1996, after her marriage, she received German citizenship. In 1999 she was world ranked #4.
Tian-Zörner won two German national titles in 1997 and 1998. Domestically she played with multiple clubs as follows: Bayer Uerdingen (1990-97), Team Galaxis Lübeck (1997-98), Tus Bad Driburg (1998-2000), TTFC Burgwedel (2000-01), MSV Tostedt (2001-02), and TTC HS Schwarza (2002-04). She later coached Anrather TK (2007-08), DJK VfL Willich (2008-09), TTK Anröchte (2009-10), DJK SV Holzbüttgen (2010-12), Bayer Uerdingen (2012-14), TTV Hövelhof (2014-16), ASV Süchteln (2016-18), and TTK Anröchte (from 2018). She also ran a Chinese restaurant at Uerdingen together with her husband until 1998, when they moved to Düsseldorf.
