Biography

Massimo Bertolini was an Italian tennis player who played professionally from 1993 to 2006. Bertolini achieved a career-best singles ranking of #329 in the world in May 1995 and a doubles ranking of #36 in the world in May 2004. As a doubles specialist he had success early in his career, winning gold with compatriot Mosé Navarra at the 1993 Mediterranean Games. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics he paired with Cristian Brandi and reached the second round. Bertolini won two ATP titles with Sweden’s Simon Aspelin, both in 2003. At Grand Slams he reached the quarter-finals of the US Open and the French Open in 2001 and 2003, respectively.
