Volleyball player Judith Sylvester was on the German squads that participated in the Olympic tournaments at Sydney in 2000 (finished sixth) and Athens in 2004 (ninth). In 2003, Sylvester won the bronze medal at the European Championships. In total, she won 190 international caps.
At club level, Sylvester played with Marzahner SV Berlin (until 1994), VC Olympia Berlin (1994-95), CJD Berlin (1995-96), USC Münster (1997-2002), TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen (2002-04), Properzi Volley Lodi, Italy (2004), Volley Modena, Italy (2004-05), and TuS Iserlohn (2007-10). In 2000, she won the German Cup with Münster. Sylvester raised one daughter with her husband Ingo Siebert, and settled in Iserlohn.
