Biography

Giuseppe Mion was an Austrian ice hockey defence who participated in the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics. The Austrian team was eliminated in the group stage. In total, he won 37 international caps, scoring four goals and five assists.

Domestically, Mion played with EC Villacher SV from 1977-94, winning the Austrian national titles in 1981, 1992, and 1993. Mion later became an ice hockey manager with EC Villach SV. In 2016 he was awarded the Golden Medal of the Austrian Ice Hockey Association.
