Edouard Mottier was a defenseman who competed at the 1924 Winter Olympics. He spent his entire club career (1919-33) with Château d’Oex. Mottier also skated at the 1923 European Championships where he helped Switzerland to a bronze medal. Mottier was considered responsible for the development of ice hockey in the Vaud.
