Camillo Mussi

An ice hockey player, Camillo Mussi played left wing and center. Born in Besnate, then raised in Milano where he has always played – HC Milano (1928-35), A.M.D.G. (1936-38, 1940), and with Diavoli Rossoneri in 1938-39. Mussi won six Italian League titles, four with HC Milano (1930-31, 1933-34), and two with A.M.D.G. (1937-38). Mussi competed for Italy at three World Championships from 1933-35, and at the 1936 Olympic Winter Games.

Mussi was a lieutenant pilot with the 56a Squadriglia in World War II. In August 1940, just two months after Italy entered the war, he was shot down and crashed with his crew into the Mediterranean Sea.
