Klaus Ofner’s greatest tournament was the 1991 World Championships in Val di Fiemme when he helped Austria win a gold medal in the team event, with Klaus Sulzenbacher and Günther Csar, and won a bronze medal in the individual race. A year later at the Albertville Winter Olympics Ofner added an Olympic bronze medal in the team event, this time competing with Sulzenbacher and Stefan Kreiner. Ofner also competed at the 1995 World Championships, where he led Austria to a fifth-place finish in the team event.
