Biography

Ice hockey player Roger Olsson made his senior début in the 1960–61 season, playing for Västerås IK in the Swedish first division. After a few seasons with the club Olsson joined Västra Frölunda IF in the 1964–65 season, remaining with the team until 1976. His final years were spent with Hanhals BK before his retirement in 1979. Olsson also played for the Swedish national team in the late 1960s and early 1970s, winning silver at the World Ice Hockey Championships in 1969 and 1970. He was part of the squad that finished fourth at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics, with him playing in all seven matches and scoring one goal.
