Biography

Christian Orlainsky was an Austrian alpine skier who participated in the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics. He came 13th in the giant slalom and was disqualified in the slalom event. Winning both events at the 1979 Youth World Championships, Orlainsky became one of the best technical skiers in Austria. Domestically, he won the giant slalom title in 1979 and 1988. He later became a foreign exchange dealer.
