Enzo Perin competed internationally in both the Nordic combined and ski jumping, and first reached the podium at the Italian national championships in 1955, when he was runner-up in both of those events. After repeating this feat in 1956, he was selected to represent his country at that year’s Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics, where he was 20th in the individual Nordic combined and joint-48th (with France’s Régis Rey) in the large hill ski jump.
Perin then won both of those events at the 1957 national championships and, aside from bronze in the ski jump in 1959 and coming 37th in the large hill at the 1960 Squaw Valley Olympics, found the rest of his success in the Nordic combined. He won the Italian individual title in that discipline every year from 1958 through 1964, except 1961, and was runner-up in 1965. At the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympics, he was 14th and 18th respectively in that event.
