Václav Roziňák was a forward who began his career with SK Podoli Praha in 1940, and played with them through 1948, before joining LTC Praha for two seasons. Roziňák won a silver medal with the Czechoslovak team at the 1948 Winter Olympics, and won gold medals at the 1947 and 1949 World Championships. Roziňák was on the national team preparing to play at the 1950 World Championships, but 11 members of the team were arrested shortly before the competition when Czech authorities accused them of planning to defect during the tournament. He was imprisoned for five years, being granted amnesty and released in 1955. After his release Roziňák played for 10 seasons, first with ZJS Spartak Brno, then with DSO Baník Kladno, and finally seven seasons with TK Spartak Praha Sokolovo.
