Austrian ice hockey defender Othmar Russ played with Austria at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics. The team was eliminated in the group stage and placed eighth as second in the consolation round. Russ won 44 international caps, scoring five goals and three assists. Domestically, he played with Grazer AK (1968-71) and ATSE Graz (1971-81) and won the national title in 1975.
