Czechoslovak ski jumper František Rydval competed in the sport from 1967 to 1962, making his international début at the 1966/67 Four Hills Tournament. Rydval had his best result in the Four Hills in the 1968/69 season, finishing third in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In 1968 he also competed in the normal hill and large hill events at the Grenoble Olympics, finishing 12th and 27th, respectively.
