Józef Rysula was a Polish cross-country skier who appeared at the 1960, 1964, and 1968 Winter Olympics. Rysula also competed at the World Championships three times, in Zakopane in 1962, Oslo in 1966, and Štrbské Pleso in 1970. He won 20 Polish national titles, and also won the Memorial for Bronisław Czech and Helena Marusarzówna six times.
Rysula retired in 1973 after a hip injury. In 2015 Rysula was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta, the Meritorious Sports Master Badge, and a gold medal “For Outstanding Sports Achievements”.
