Biography
The first Olympian from SC Willingen, Nordic skier Karl Schüßler took part in the 50 km cross country event at the 1952 Oslo Winter Olympics but did not finish. He won a total of 14 West German championship titles in cross-country skiing and Nordic combined. After his active career Schüßler organized cross-country skiing camps mainly for young people. He also owned a hotel in his hometown Willingen.
