Austrian alpine skier Hans Senger participated in the 1952 Oslo Winter Olympics. He finished ninth in the giant slalom and was disqualified in the second run of the slalom event after missing the last gate when leading the competition. Senger retired in 1954 and turned to coaching.
Senger’s coaching career started with the Italian Skiing Association and later with the Austrian national team. He then moved to the United States for several years to coach Karim, Prince Aga Khan and his family. Senger also worked as a helicopter pilot for the family. Later he returned to Kärnten to run a hotel with his wife.
