Biography

Ludwig Siebert was a member of the four-man bob Germany 1 at the 1964 Innsbruck Winter Olympics which placed fifth. He won two West German titles in the four-man with his home club SV Ohlstadt (1962 and 1963). He also won a gold medal at the 1962 World Championships in the four-man. At the 1966 World Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo the four-man bob Germany 1 crashed and pilot Toni Pensberger sustained fatal injuries, while Siebert suffered severe injuries, but recovered.
